The year 2025 was a year of sharpened operational focus for Sitowise
"Our market environment remained challenging, particularly in construction-related businesses, and we took decisive steps to strengthen our foundation for future growth and profitability. Against this market environment, I am pleased with the strong and resilient performance shown across our Infra and Digital Solutions business areas, and the clear signs of improvement toward the end of the year in Buildings and Sweden business areas.
Our Finnish businesses improved the underlying operational performance throughout 2025. Infra continued its strong organic growth and maintained its profitability above our target level throughout the year, supported by rail, green transition and industrial projects as well as security-related public sector projects. Despite the challenging IT consulting market, Digital Solutions also grew in 2025. The product business remained on high double-digit growth path, and SaaS products accounted for approximately one third of the business area’s net sales. These businesses demonstrate the strength of our strategy and our ability to grow in areas supported by long-term societal drivers.
The Buildings business faced very demanding market environment throughout the year. Overcapacity, weak demand, especially in residential construction, and intense price competition weighed volumes and margins. However, the measures we implemented during the year – including capacity adjustments, improved project management and sharpened commercial focus in new growth segments, especially in energy and datacenters – began to show results. Sales activity and utilization rate improved, and the business turned profitable in 2025. While the recovery of construction markets is expected to be gradual, we are better positioned to capture the
upside as the market turns.
Sweden remained our most significant challenge in 2025. The prolonged downturn in the Swedish construction market continued to negatively impact volumes, particularly in structural and building services engineering. During the year, we took extensive actions to right-size the organization, strengthen sales focus, improve project profitability and renew our offering in infrastructure and project management services. These actions were necessary and, while they affected our short-term results, they have positioned the business for a turnaround. The Group goodwill impairment recorded in the fourth quarter reflects this reset and allows us to move forward with a clearer and more realistic foundation in Sweden.
Ultimately, it is our people who make Sitowise. Their expertise, commitment and willingness to adapt have been decisive during a demanding year. I would like to thank also our clients, shareholders, partners and other stakeholders for their trust and support throughout 2025. I firmly believe in our ability to build even more successful Sitowise together. With a clear direction and a strong foundation, we are well positioned to respond to the evolving demands of our customers and to create sustainable value for all our stakeholders."
