Sitowise has launched a new Sustainability Programme extending to 2030, strengthening the role of sustainability and resilience in customer projects. The programme aims to help customers respond to changes in their operating environment, meet growing sustainability requirements, and build long-term competitiveness.
Solutions related to the built environment, infrastructure, industry, and digital services have a significant impact on societal emissions, the use of natural resources, and the ability to withstand disruptions and changes. For Sitowise, sustainability is ultimately created through practical choices made in customer projects.
The programme is built on the idea that sustainability is an integral part of high-quality design, better decision-making, and competitive business. At the same time, it means taking responsibility for people and the environment while promoting economically sustainable solutions.
- Our greatest impact is created through our customers’ projects and initiatives. We want to help our customers identify the benefits of sustainable solutions at an earlier stage and make choices that strengthen both business sustainability and societal resilience, says Jannis Mikkola, Interim CEO of Sitowise.
Through sustainability programme, Sitowise is committed to systematically integrating sustainability and resilience perspectives into all customer projects and leveraging the opportunities offered by digitalisation and artificial intelligence to identify and assess sustainable solutions. The goal is to make the impacts of sustainable alternatives visible and support customers’ decision-making.
- In practice, this means, for example, reducing climate emissions, developing more resource-efficient solutions, taking biodiversity into account, and strengthening the reliability and resilience of projects. At the same time, Sitowise aims to promote pioneering projects together with its customers that help drive the industry forward, says Essi Lahti, Sustainability Manager at Sitowise.
The Sustainability Programme also supports Sitowise’s strategic goal of being the most responsible partner for its customers. Successfully delivering sustainable solutions requires strong expertise, the integration of multidisciplinary capabilities, and the ability to utilise data, digital solutions, and artificial intelligence for the benefit of customers.
- For our customers, sustainability is first and foremost reflected in our expertise. That is why Sitowise invests in continuous learning, digital tools, and new ways of working. Our goal is to ensure that our experts have the best possible capabilities to identify the most sustainable solutions and bring their benefits into our customers’ decision-making, Mikkola says.
The programme’s key focus areas through 2030 are creating customer value through sustainability, building an evolving workplace, and maintaining a strong foundation for responsible business. Sitowise will regularly report on the progress of its sustainability work as part of its annual sustainability reporting.
