Thermal Storage Finland implemented a unique hybrid thermal power plant. TSF's expert assistance in the project was provided by Sitowise's energy system design team from sketch lines to the final product.

The aim of the project was to design a new replicable hybrid heat pump product. The design work combined different heat sources and technologies to produce heat as efficiently as possible. The solution utilises the use of several different heat sources and the storage of thermal energy. Central to the concept has been the optimal control of energy flows and different temperature levels for the needs of the building. Commissioned by Thermal Storage Finland, a digital model of the project was created to test and optimise the operation of the system. By using the model, final designs for the product were created. The digital model was used to study the effects and connectivity of different technologies and control methods. By utilising various technologies, the replicability of a hybrid thermal power plant is seen to have international potential.

The hybrid power plant consists of equipment placed in a shipping container and hybrid solar panels.
